Visiting a church can be intimidating whether you’re new to Mountainside Community Church, a brand new Christ-follower or you’re just exploring what this Jesus thing is all about. At Mountainside, we make it our priority to make you feel welcome, comfortable and loved.

We’d love to help answer your questions and explain how the gospel shapes our lives as a community of believers. Here are some commonly-asked questions.

What should I expect on my first visit?

From the moment you arrive at Mountainside Community Church, you’ll be made to feel at home. Our greeters will meet you at the door with a smile and answer any questions you might have.

What are the Sunday Services like?

Our service typically lasts one hour. During that time, we have an opening song, announcements, a lesson from the Bible, and finish with worship. We believe that the most important thing is people finding Jesus. Therefore, at our Sunday morning gatherings we pray that you will encounter Him.

Is there a dress code?

We have a casual atmosphere where all people from all backgrounds are accepted and loved. We do not have a dress code. However, face coverings are required at this time.

What type of church is this?

Mountainside is a Christian church full of people who love Jesus, love people, and love our community. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America and networked with The Gospel Coalition and Groundwire. Learn more about our beliefs here.

Are my kids welcome?

Yes! Currently, we are not able to offer kids ministry during our Sunday Gatherings at Discovery Fellowship. Children are welcome to join us in service. We also have several places onsite where you can watch the service and be with your children.

When and where do you meet?

Due to current events, we are meeting every Sunday in person at 5PM at Discovery Fellowship Church and online at 10:30AM on Facebook or YouTube. Our regular place of meeting is at Depoali Middle School on Sundays Mornings.
